2026 APA-IL State Conference

The 2026 American Planning Association - Illinois State Conference is going to be hosted at the Hilton Orrington in Evanston, IL in October. There will be more information later in the year!

Students are encouraged to attend to meet planning professionals, learn more about the field, and explore future careers. A UIUC Alumni Reception will take place on the first night of the conference and connect existing students, faculty, and alum.

Early registration runs through April with 3 day registration for $200 and single day for $100. These rates will increase on April 17 by $25. Planning at Illinois students quality for registration discounts provided separately by SPO and the UIUC Department of Regional Planning (check your emails).

Generally UIUC Urban Planning students are contacted about discounts or full coverage for the conference in September, so keep an eye out for that.

Attendees can also volunteer in the morning to attend the afternoon for free. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Phil Green.
